Founded by Antonio Lovascio, who then handed the firm on to his son, Francesco,
the Company is presently run by the three sons of Francesco, who in turn
belong to the family's third generation, always in the utmost respect
of an old tradition of their hometown, Bitonto, where the oil production,
from the growing of the olive trees and the cropping methods through the
olive processing, is something of a very ancient art.
Thanks to the strenght and youth, always backed by great enthusiasm, of
the three brothers, over a ten year period the Company has gained a consiedrably
good position in the home market, with steadily increasing success.
The quality of products, Francesco's main aim and concern for more than
40 years, still continues to be constantly and carefully pursued and eagerly
sought out by his three sons, the Lovascio brothers, as well. Such an
accomplishment has also been possible thanks to a great deal of attention
paid to the choice of the origin and to the selection of the varieties
of olives, to the harvesting methods, always following the hand-reaping
tradition, and to the pressing process, since olives must rigorously be
cold pressed. Last but not least, the Lovascio family great experience
in tasting and selecting the different kinds of oils, allow them to choos
only those oils that keep the strong taste, round flavour and distinctive
aroma typical of our land, Apulia.
