At
the beginning of the XXth century Antonio Lovascio set up an oil mill in
order to accomplish the whole production process, from the olive grooves
cropping through the harvest up to the olive pressing process, which he
himself followed personally with great care. Over a few years, his mill
became something of a landmark for many other olive growers and oil producers
of the town, who trusted Antonio and greatly appreciated the way he pressed
and processed their olives, so that Antonio's hard work became not only
a real business but also something of a sheer passion, which has always
characterised, and which still distinguishes, all the members of the Lovascio
family who have in turn managed and currently run the firm. Antonio's eldest
son, Francesco, actually started bottling and marketing the olive oil under
the Lovascio brand, that has since then begun synonymous with quality and
honesty. At Francesco's death, the Company had already gained a steady and
considerably good place in the domestic market, with an excellent reputation
built up in 40 years of outstanding operation, and it still holds such a
place and name, with increasing success, under Francesco's sons guide. |
